2021 Aston Martin DBX V8 1913 Edition
Description
Key Points: 1 of 500 1913 Edition, 4.0-litre 542bhp Twin-Turbocharged V8, 1 Owner from New
Aston Martin is one of the finest British car manufacturers and has produced some of the greatest sports cars for the last 109 years. As a company, they have specialised in producing some of the highest quality sports cars and grand tourers that have become known as British cultural icons after featuring predominantly in the James Bond franchise and being seen as the face of the British automotive industry by the rest of the world.
After years of producing such icons as the DB5, Vantage, and, more recently, the DBS and DB11, Aston Martin has taken its expertise in the sports car industry and applied that to possibly the finest handling SUV ever made. The Aston Martin DBX is the first SUV offering from the Warwickshire-based outfit and has already taken home endlessly positive reviews worldwide.
The DBX has taken the same 542 bhp Twin-Turbo AMG V8 from the Aston Martin Vantage and added a sophisticated 4-wheel-drive system into this 2.2-tonne luxury SUV. This recipe, on paper, should not create something as nimble and capable as the DBX. Due to this, the DBX has been compared to the Audi RS6 and Mercedes-AMG C63 rather than other SUVs. That is the level of performance this car provides.
The sheer performance is just the tip of the iceberg for the DBX. Once you step inside, the level of luxury is the real masterpiece. An innovative design top to bottom, from the Engine Start button and P, R, N, and D buttons, all placed across the top of the centre console above the 10.25-inch full-colour screen and A/C controls. As well as the creative instrument layout of the DBX, the interior is full of top-quality metallic and piano black veneers and hand-stitched leather throughout.
