2019 Nissan R35 GT-R Track Edition LM1000
Description
Key Points: Litchfield Upgrades, Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust System, XPEL Paint Protection Film Applied To Whole Car.
This 2019 Nissan (R35) GT-R Track Edition is a potent contemporary Japanese performance car, which has been extensively modified by Litchfield Motors.
As standard, the Track Edition’s 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 produces 562bhp and 466lb-ft of torque, and drives all four wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 0-62mph time is 2.7 seconds, and the top speed is 196 mph.
The Track Edition’s suspension is lifted straight from the £149,995 GT-R Nismo, comprising adjustable Bilstein DampTronic dampers, new front wishbone lines to increase caster, and a lightweight anti-roll bar. The lightweight RAYS 20-inch nine-spoke ‘GT500’ forged alloy wheels are also lifted from the Nismo, and the car features Nismo-specification body bonding for increased rigidity and improved on-track performance.
Reported to be one of only eight 2019 model-year examples, this particular car was specified from the factory with Pearl Black Metallic paint, black leather-trimmed carbon fibre-backed Recaro sports seats, the carbon ceramic braking system with yellow callipers, a carbon fibre boot lid and spoiler, and a carbon fibre roof.
It was originally upgraded to produce 800bhp by Litchfield Motors in January 2020, before being enhanced further in November 2022. It now produces a mighty 976bhp, achieved using forged internals, BorgWarner 6758 turbochargers and manifolds, Capricorn Automotive pistons, a TI valve train kit, Supertech Performance intake and exhaust valves, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust, a Forge Motorsport header tank, uprated fuel pumps, 1,050cc injectors, and a cylinder head, oil breather system, racing intercooler, fuel tank breather kit, speed density kit, sport cams, blow-off valves and H-beam conrods from Litchfield Motors. It also features the Version 8 Speed Density-tuned EcuTek ECU. The engine components were finished in Champagne Gold, with Black Pearl covers.
The engine is mated to a dual-clutch transmission featuring a Dodson Motorsport heavy-duty six-speed gear set, a 16-plate clutch, billet baskets, a Litchfield brace and a Litchfield billet sump. The gearbox is also linked to a Quaife front differential.
In addition, it has the desirable Litchfield handling kit, upgraded suspension bushes, Litchfield-upgraded Bilstein Damptronic dampers, Mine’s GT-R centre caps, Dodson Motorsport wheel bolts, a Mine’s rear reflector LED kit and Goodridge braided brake lines.
On the exterior, it now features the Litchfield LM20 styling package consisting of a carbon front splitter, grille and rear bumper insert. The paintwork is protected by full-body XPEL paint protection film, while satin paint protection spray has been applied to the carbon fibre exterior parts.
