2019 Mercedes-Benz C63S Saloon
Description
Key Points: AMG Driver's Package, AMG Track Pace, AMG Performance Heated Seats, Interior and Exterior AMG Package
The AMG C 63 S is a high-performance variant of the W205-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class, powered by a similar 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged ‘M177’ V8 to the Mercedes-AMG GT.
Delivering 503hp and 516lb ft of torque to the rear wheels, it can propel the C 63 S from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 180mph. By moving to a downsized turbocharged engine, Mercedes claims the W205 version consumes 32% less fuel than the model it replaced.
Other highlights include three-stage AMG-specific adaptive dampers, speed-sensitive variable power steering, and high-performance 390mm front and 360mm rear brake discs with branded AMG callipers.
The model was facelifted in 2018, and now features LED headlights, new touchpads on the multifunction steering wheel, and an updated nine-speed automatic transmission.
