2024 Land Rover Range Rover P550e Autobiography

Description

Key Points: Exterior Shadow Pack, Executive Class Seats, SVO Bespoke Full Leather Upgrade

The fifth-generation (L460) Range Rover was revealed in October 2021 by the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Chief Creative Officer and the car's designer, Gerry McGovern, at the Royal Opera House in London. It has minimalist styling inside and out, and powertrain options ranging from MHEV, PHEV and a twin-turbocharged V8. Available seating configurations include four, five or seven, depending on the selected wheelbase. Based on the MLA
platform (shared with the smaller third-generation Range Rover Sport), the lineup consists of the P400, P460e, P510e, P550e, P530, P615, D250, D300, and the D350.

The L460 is the first Range Rover to offer four-wheel steering, with a turning circle of 10.95m, or 11.54m for the long-wheelbase model. Its independent air suspension allows the driver to adjust the ride height through the Adaptive Dynamics system, and the model also features Range Rover's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (IAWD) and Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) systems, which enhance efficiency by disconnecting drive at the front axle at speeds between 22 and 99 mph.

All models feature a 13.1-inch touchscreen featuring the Pivi Pro interface, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional standard features include navigation, wireless smartphone charging, and a 13.7-inch digital dashboard display.

The luxury-focused Autobiography model comes with a raft of desirable equipment as standard, including diamond-turned alloy wheels, a panoramic roof, digital LED headlamps with signature daytime running lights, 24-way heated and cooled electrically adjustable front seats with massage function, illuminated metal tread plates with Autobiography script, and the 35-speaker noise-cancelling Meridian Audio system.

In 2023, Land Rover replaced the P440e with the more powerful P550e. A plug-in hybrid with up to 75 miles of pure electric range, its engine is a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six, producing 550bhp and 406lb ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The result is a 0-60mph sprint time of just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 150mph.
