2024 Ferrari Purosangue

Description

Key Points: VAT Qualifying, 4-Layer Rosso Fuoco Exterior Paint, Carbon Fibre Steering Wheel, Carbon Fibre Wheelhouse Flares

Launched in September 2022, the Purosangue is Ferrari's first SUV, as well as its first four-door, four-seat performance car. It is based on the same platform as the Ferrari Roma, and uses fastback styling with rear-hinged ‘suicide’ doors. The front features split headlights, with LED daytime running lights arranged at the top, connected by a thin air intake.

At the rear, there are two side lights similar to those on the 296 GTB, connected by an LED strip, a tailgate with an integrated spoiler, and a diffuser with a pair of twin exhausts on each side.

The four-seat interior has an electronically dimmable sunroof, a retractable touch dial that controls the air conditioning, a 16-inch driver’s display and a 10-inch passenger-side screen.

Power comes from a mid-front mounted naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 derived from the 812 Superfast, though with new crankshafts and camshafts. It delivers 715bhp to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shift, which is mounted at the rear for a sports car-style transaxle layout, and a 49:51 weight distribution. As a result, the Purosangue can launch from 0-62mph in 3.3 seconds, before hitting a claimed top speed of 193mph.

Underneath, a 48V electro-hydraulic actuator is installed on each shock absorber, capable of autonomously adjusting height and stiffness 15 times per second during compression and rebound. Additionally, a four-wheel steering system derived from the 812 Superfast is also fitted.
