2023 Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Carpathian Edition

Description

Key Points: Satin PPF Applied To Whole Car, Revere Exterior Kit, V8 Carpathian Edition.

The Land Rover Defender is a luxury 4x4, relaunched with an all-new generation on 10 September 2019 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, breaking the engineering lineage with its predecessor, a descendant of the original Series Land Rovers of 1948. The L663-era Defender is available in three body styles, marketed as the three-door Defender 90, the five-door Defender 110 and the extended three-row Defender 130.

The car has permanent all-wheel drive, locking differentials in the centre and rear, and a two-speed transfer case. Unlike previous Defenders, the new model has an aluminium unibody, instead of a body-on-frame construction. It can support a 10,000-lb front-mounted winch, which is unusual for a unibody car.

The 110 variant now comes with air suspension as standard, and has a maximum ground clearance of 11.5-inches. Other standard features include LED headlights and a 10-inch touchscreen head unit with the JLR Pivi Pro infotainment system.

In the range-topping V8 Carpathian Edition trim level, the Defender is powered by the same supercharged ‘P525’ 5.0-litre V8 found in the Jaguar F-Type, which produces 518 bhp, and can tow up to 7,716 lb thanks to its 461 lb-ft of torque. It can reach 62 mph from a standstill in 5.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 149 mph when equipped with 22-inch wheels. If the vehicle has 20-inch wheels, the top speed is reduced to 119 mph.
