2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed
Description
Key Points: Carbon Fibre Styling Specification, Touring Specification, Dynamic Launch Specification.
The GT Speed is a special-edition version of Bentley’s iconic Continental, built with a high-performance focus. It is powered by the 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12, delivering 650bhp (26bhp more than the standard car) and 664lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. The eight-speed automatic transmission has been remapped to provide sharper gear changes in ‘sport’ mode, and as a result, the car can launch from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 208mph.
The chassis has been upgraded with the four-wheel steering system first seen on the Flying Spur, which allows the use of a quicker steering ratio than on the regular W12, as well as an electronic limited-slip differential, which sits on the opposite side of the rear axle to the rear-wheel steering components.
The Dynamic Ride software operates across a wider bandwidth, allowing improved performance from the three-chamber air suspension and adaptive dampers. The GT Speed also boasts a lower ride height, uprated anti-roll bars, and unique 20-inch wheels.
