1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR

Description

Key Points: Fujitsubo Exhaust System, Mitsubishi Fog Lights, Low Mileage from New

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, popularly referred to as the 'Evo' is a lauded rally-inspired performance saloon. There have been ten generations to date, all of which use intercooled two-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engines and all-wheel drive systems.

The last generation of Evo to be produced under Group A homologation requirements, the VI was introduced in January 1999, with changes primarily focused on cooling and engine durability. It was given a larger intercooler, a larger oil cooler and new pistons. Its engine is the turbocharged 2.0-litre ‘4G63’ inline-four, producing 276hp and 275lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

In ‘RS’ specification, it features a minimal interior, rally suspension, a rear 1.5-way limited-slip differential and a close-ratio gearbox, while the ‘GSR’ comes with the gauge pack, AYC (Active Yaw Control), ABS, Recaro bucket seats, automatic air conditioning, a double-DIN head unit, electric windows and Brembo brakes.
